Traditional Japanese Home & Garden Styles
Saturday December 12th, 10:00 - 13:00 PST
Join Peter Thomas Bowyer for a three hour journey through the evolution of the Japanese-style (a.k.a. Sukiya-style) living environment. Throughout we will discuss its application to the past, present, and future of human adaptation to circumstances such as stress, work, and home environments - including your own (open any images you want to share prior to logging on). We'll draw on audience questions and comments, previous webinars, and other published material in hopes of enriching your public and private lives.
Peter has served as Director of this Japanese-style Living Environment webinar series, and as lead architect for Oakland USA - Fukuoka Japan Sister City Gardens in both countries. Peter has been working in the field of home remodeling and horticulture since 1978. He started his own company in 1990 (currently called DBA Garden Form & Composition), and is a licensed landscape contractor and APA Certified Aesthetic Pruner. You are invited to join him in his continuing study of natural landscapes, landscape architecture, and landscape horticulture in appreciation and application of the Japanese-style living environment.
