The California Youth Leadership Summit will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm with 2 high school panels, 2 university panels, and then an International Panel beginning at 4:15 pm which is 9:15 am Sunday morning Japan time, so the hope is to have significant participation in the International Forum from Japan.
The California Youth Leadership Summit is led by youth and young professionals for youth and young professionals. Panelists will include youth (high school and college students) and young professionals participating from the State of California, as well as college students from countries where California’s 356 sister cities around the world are located.
The theme of the event is Peace, Kindness and Cooperation and all of the topics are decided by the youth and young professional panel organizing team. These topics will include:
• climate change/sustainability
• world peace and cooperation
• racial equality/gender equity
The California Youth Leadership Summit is hosted by the Sister Cities International Southern California Chapter and is organized by the Sister Cities International Southern and Northern California Chapters, along with their partner KIF USA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
