At 16:00 on 15 May 2025 the San Carlos Sister City Association will dedicate a building wide mural in Sister City Lane celebrating the relationship with Omura, Nagasaki, Japan with which we have had a high school student exchange for almost two decades. The Omura Mayor and his delegation of four city officials will attend as well as our San Carlos Mayor and officials. Both the local and the Japanese co-artists will attend as we are bringing the professional calligrapher from Japan to demonstrates and teach his art. The public is invited to San Carlos to see and learn from the calligraphic demonstration and we invite representatives from the Consulate of Japan to attend from San Francisco.
