This year's Friends of Shoseian's Holiday Event is called "Holiday Tea and Martial Arts". It will be held December 18 from 10 am - 3 pm at Brand Park in Glendale, CA.

We will be offering three separate tea ceremonies and three different martial art demonstrations including:

1. Katori Shinto Ryu which is a 650 year old classical martial art from Japan.
2 Kobayashi Ryu Aikido which has been termed the "Peaceful Martial Art".
3. Gosoku Ryu Karate as demonstrated by a true master of the art Sike Tak Kubota and his students from the International Karate Association.

We will have a table of Japanese souvenirs for sale and we will have a Japanese sweets and snacks booth too.

As always, DJ "Yui Sensational" will be providing music for us throughout the event.

Coming into the garden is free and so is watching the martial art demos. If you would like to attend one of the tea ceremonies you need to pre-register and pay in advance by going to our website at GlendaleTeaHouse.org.
