On June 12, 2024, CJSCN will host an online workshop via Zoom, in partnership with the Consulates General of Japan in San Francisco and in Los Angeles. The workshop’s theme is “Creative Engagement of Next Gen Leaders.” This time, we will be hearing from the Long Beach-Yokkaichi Sister City Association about their unique and creative programs that engage young people.

On October 6, from 3:00-5:00 pm, CJSCN and the Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles will host a Fall Workshop at the Courtyard in the Official Residence of the Consul General of Japan in Los Angeles. The event theme is “Navigating Renewed Opportunities for Sister Cities”.

CJSCN is pleased to co-host our virtual 2023 Spring Workshop with the Consulates General of Japan in San Francisco and in Los Angeles. The event will be held online on May 19 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. We will focus on "Navigating Renewed Opportunities for Sister Cities."

In cooperation with the Consulates General of Japan in San Francisco and in Los Angeles, CJSCN is proud to announce the 2022 Fall Workshop in San Francisco. The event will be held on December 9 and will focus on the theme of “Connecting Sister City Youth with Your Community”. This event is by invitation only; invitations to this event will be sent to each sister city organization's main representative soon.

The 2021 Spring Workshop theme is “Citizen Diplomacy through Technology and Innovation.” We will have comments from the Consuls General from the San Francisco and Los Angeles Consulates General of Japan, as well as the California State Senate President Pro Tem Toni Atkins. A special presentation from the San Diego Yokohama Sister Cities Society will focus on their many successes with virtual exchanges and events since the pandemic began, and how other sister city programs could implement similar programs.

CJSCN hopes to host its first-ever online event for our 2020 Fall Reception. The event is tentatively scheduled for Friday, November 13, from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. More details forthcoming.
